On 18 January, new updates to the R-One and R-Max championship regulations were published. Simple and important improvements aimed at perfecting an innovative sector.
R-ONE
The endurance championship, which brings racing back to its true essence, will also have an entry fee for participation in the prize money and the final classification. The choice is intended to give pre-emption and priority to those who will choose to follow the championship.
“By registering you will be entitled to participate in the championship classification and access the final prize money. The registration fee is € 120.00 (VAT inclusive).
Teams registered for the championship will have pre-emption on registration for each individual event, up to one month before the date’.
Also important is the definition of the expected discards, which provides a structure aimed at giving teams more opportunities to participate in the final classification and the prize money, lowering the cost of participation:
“The winner of the championship will be the team that scores the most points at the end of the season out of the best six results in its category. Two discards will be possible:
Discard 1 : the worst result between a 4- or 6-hour race
Discard 2 : ithe worst result in a 10-hour race.”
Next step is the definition of the scoring system that will be studied at the next Safety Commission meeting.
R-MAX
The update to the regulations for the premium rental sprint karting championship includes the introduction of a coefficient of 1.5 for scoring the last round scheduled for 20 October 2024 at the Siena Circuit. The coefficient will only be assigned to the score of the finals.
